"I am from New Orleans, Louisiana, and this past week my Liberator Wedge helped save my life.
I purchased the Wedge back in the spring of 2005 to take with me on a trip to meet my girlfriend in Vancouver. Her comment was, "Alfred, this works like a hot damn!!"
But in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, I was staying at a friend's place helping deal with the storm. We were supposed to evacuate, but got bogged down on the roads out of New Orleans...and we were planning to hopefully get out of New Orleans immediately after the storm.
Well, the area we were in started to flood rapidly, and we had to bug out...now! Water was reaching chest-high levels, and I am not a great swimmer...I was looking for something to help guide me to a boat that was about 50 yards away...I had an idea...I took my Liberator Wedge (in the travel bag), wrapped it in two large garbage bags and surrounded it with duct tape. I hit the water and it floated!! I paddled my way to the boat and safe passage out of the apartment complex.
I have relocated in Pensacola, Florida until things get a bit better at home. But my girlfriend, Barbi, marveled at the fact that not only did the Wedge help bring her to a state of bliss when we were together, it helped make sure that we will be able to have a reunion in Vancouver next year!!
